sweetest day ^^

June 12, 2008

I just met with one of my vendors and she informed me that my wedding date coincides with the SWEETEST DAY celebration. My reaction was like, “What!?”. I never heard that before. So, I googled it and found out that it is indeed the sweetest day in 2008.

So, what is it actually? It’s celebrated every third week of October, mostly observed by MidWestern US, which in year 2008 means the 18th of October. The formal description for the day is “an occasion which offers all of us an opportunity to remember not only the sick, aged and orphaned, but also friends, relatives and associates whose helpfulness and kindness we have enjoyed.” Some believed that the day is created by candy industry to increase their sales. I don’t really care about this but it’s just nice to know that my wedding will be on the sweetest day of the year :).

the b.m. dress

June 1, 2008

I’m quite surprised when the bridal salon called me and said that the bridesmaid dresses have arrived. I thought, from what they said before, the dresses should arrive sometime in mid-June. Well, that’s good then. Better be early than late, isn’t it?

So, with 2 of the girls, we went to pickup the dresses yesterday in Cincin. (1.5 hrs. drive, not too bad). The dresses are beautiful but they need to be altered (as expected) to fit the girls better. Like what I just said, it’s good to have the dress early when there’s still plennnnty of time to alter it.
